The ''Biotá'' series is a project in which, once again, De la Garza makes use of alternative materials in opposition to the traditional to expose his speech. Landscapes and classic still-lifes, taken from the great representatives of art history, are reinterpreted and captured in oil on these alternative canvases

For still lifes: cans, packaging and various junk food products are what De la Garza uses as both a physical and conceptual support to achieve this. On the one hand, the criticism of the disposable art of our times sarcastically reproducing these iconic images of classical painting and, on the other, addressing the current ecological and nutritional problem where ironically nature sustains itself from “Garbage”.
