To claim the essential aesthetic-creative power that the use of the hands confer on the artwork, its assembly and its final result, granting the intellect-formal identity of the art piece, as instant communicators with the eyes, with the gaze, building a basic elegant tandem towards the creation process.

Andrés Ferrandis, Valencia, Born in Valencia, Spain, studied at the University of La Laguna and received his MFA in painting from the University of Seville in 1997.
“Devoting oneself to abstract painting means to choose a reality where one immerses oneself in the discovery of aesthetic truths, truths that are used to elaborate a language with which to morally express oneself. Artistic awareness can open pathways that lead to the interpretation of moments, memory and essence. My intention is to create a language that allows me to work, not from experience or particular subject itself, but with the emotions that those diverse subjects provoke. By implementing new media and materials into painting, my work has moved outside the conventional limits of the stretcher, developing structurally and expanding into non-conventional, hybrid pieces and installations.” – Andrés Ferrandis
Ferrandi’s work has been featured in numerous international publications, and he has exhibited in many institutions including the Miami Art Museum, Miami, FL, and Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, Valencia, Spain. His artworks are in prominent collections including the University of Texas at San Antonio.
