Tcherassi's work combines organic elements, geometry and bold use of color. As a believer in energy, spirituality and human consciousness, she uses art as a way of life and a way to connect with the universe. Her process explores how variations of color in a single piece generate diverse perceptions and emotions. Inspired by artists such as Mondrian, Matisse, Rothko and especially Josef Albers, she experiments with abstract forms to provoke thoughts and emotions, using color to challenge and deepen our sense of perception. The Portal series embodies her spiritual belief that energetic passages exist as dimensional gateways, using concentric rectangular geometry to materialize the concept of portals as visual thresholds where color defines transition between different planes of existence.
