EXHIBITIONS WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF CARLOS ALEJANDRO

CARLOS ALEJANDRO
Art is a way of living. For Carlos Alejandro, art is the art of the everyday. He explores the diversity of common man-made objects, reassembling them and creating new things, things that express a new idea. He uses the Dada concept to elevate everyday banal objects, transforming them into works of art with the intention of questioning and renewing the foundation of our beliefs.
In his work, Carlos Alejandro uses a vast array of non-conventional materials such as pills, hair, bottle caps, chopsticks, etc. He takes common objects out of their context and using different techniques, he transforms them into art pieces, resulting in an interesting eclectic fusion with a strong influence of Dada. In his subject matter, one notices a great concern for the social aspect of the human being which to Alejandro, groups the universality of his environment, demonstrating a personal point of view that can put things in perspective, extending possible answers to common life issues such as human rights, spirituality, consumerism, recycling, etc...In addition to his gallery showings, he has participated in cultural exchanges, workshops, and talks. He has also worked in interior design for commercial spaces in Miami and Portland.
