LenkPlay is a long-term photographic project rooted in the intimate terrain of motherhood, memory and the layered dimension of play. Created over the nine years, the series traces the evolving relationship between a mother and her daughter, capturing not only the passage of time but the shifting emotional textures of care, imagination and transformation.
One part of the series are color photographs of small plastic animal toys, placed in real outdoor environments. These staged scenes echo the imagined roles assigned to such toys by children, but also acquire new resonance through their dislocation – miniature creatures mimicking life in full-scale, often indifferent, landscapes. The contrast between the artificial and the real creates a visual tension, a conceptual „catch“, prompting viewers to re-engage with the sense of wonder, spontaneity and emotional projection that defines childhood play.
