Within her critically acclaimed Liquid Life practice, international creator Rosario Briones coordinates an complex, fluid dialogue where water behaves as an indeterminate agent, displacing and transforming pigment on the surface without the restrictions of a rigid previous design. The vertical arrangement tracks a powerful graphic rhythm derived from Zygmunt Bauman's philosophical theories on liquid life, allowing dense fields of deep indigo blue, violet, ash grey, and earthy ochre to blend seamlessly together in an endless organic dance. This calculated aesthetic friction uses raw gestural movements to map a topography of process and transience, successfully translating psychological states of transformation into an undeniable architectural gravity.
The Liquied series is inspired by transformation, the speed with which things change, and the material's ability to adapt to its environment. As Zygmunt Bauman describes, liquid life doesn't maintain its shape; it changes; it has no contained form, but rather everything seems to blend together.
