This unique physical creation treats the single sheet of premium Hahnemühle paper as an analytical laboratory for sub-surface psychological and identity tension. Operating within a strict framework to depict an altered and dreamlike vision of reality, the artist deliberately expands beyond the traditional boundaries of photography by combining the media with multi-layered physical techniques. The vertical composition tracks an intense graphic rhythm, isolating a raw masculine figure wrapped in a vibrant red draped cloak against a dark, low-contrast foliage backdrop void. By superimposing bright, hard-edged fluorescent orange tape stripes over the model's groin and torso, the visual layout addresses the permanent duality between the objective and subjective, transforming an intimate performative gesture into an undeniable architectural gravity for top-tier collections.
Although figurative photography remains Arnone's primary form of expression, the artist begins to see certain limitations in this medium when it comes to adequately depicting his altered and often dreamlike vision of reality. In this series, photography is combined with various techniques (pastel, acrylic, pencil, etc.) to represent the duality of the objective/subjective, the real and the imaginary.

Italian artist Salvatore Arnone lives and works in Paris since 2014. After a debut of career as an engineer, he moved into jewelry design and worked for different brands around the world for almost 10 years. Despite this immersion in the creative field, at some point he felt the need to dedicate himself solely to photography and focus on his own vision. In 2010 he got published for the first time on Vanity Fair Italia and over the years his work has been displayed on several magazines and exhibitions all over the world. From the age of 25, he began to experience progressive hearing loss due to genetic cellular degeneration that forced him to use hearing aids. The lack of one sense deeply affected his perception of the world around him and his social relationships pushing him to a slow but constant process of self isolation that is well visible in all his production.
