Part of Shine Huang’s critically acclaimed portfolio, this unique physical creation treats the composition canvas as an analytical laboratory for material and historical dynamics, focusing on adapting historical photographic processes into contemporary art. The vertical arrangement tracks an intense, deeply meditative graphic rhythm where simple organic forms serve as a mirror that reflects the photographer's internal understanding of being an immigrant living in the United States. Positioned inside a soft, ethereal light field over an absorbing dark environmental void, the deconstructed artichoke form is reduced to a glowing white spectrum shell.
Shine Huang uses everyday objects to create mysterious and impressive abstract images. Huang focuses on adapting historical photographic processes into contemporary art. Many of his images are also a mirror that reflects the photographer's understanding of being an immigrant living in the United States.
