Acrylic on Canvas III brings together ALMO’s interest in signs, personal symbolism, and the visual fragments through which identity can be constructed. The composition is populated by interlocking geometric and organic forms, including curved shapes, vertical structures, eye-like motifs, bands, arcs, and fragmented figures. A saturated palette of orange, red, yellow, green, blue, turquoise, purple, and black creates a dense visual field in constant movement. Enlarged from an earlier work on paper while maintaining its original proportions and colors, the painting allows these recurring marks and symbolic forms to acquire greater physical presence and visual complexity.
Almo wonders about his identity, the countries he has lived in, his daily routine and how he creates himself. An outsider who has made the world his home, skin, and citizenship, and through his artwork, he safeguards it in an attempt to explore the mysteries that pass through. Whether they are symbols, dreams or marks of the life of each of us.
