The organic surfaces of Wolf's work, with their vibrant colors and glossy finish, evoke a sense of decomposition and decay while retaining a polished elegance. The lightweight, airborne nature of parachutes introduces themes of gravity and suspension, merging fragility with permanence. Clemens Wolf's work focuses on transformation, with a particular interest in discarded parachutes—an homage to his passion for parachuting. These parachutes are coated in epoxy resin, carefully folded, and set into circular frames, sculptures, or canvases, creating a unique abstract blend of paintings, sculpture, and drawing.
