This exceptional modern triptych art paintings set intentionally challenges traditional media by utilizing vintage, pre-existing printed paper sheet music as a sensory conceptual landscape for plastic and sculptural experimentation. Seggiaro's needle acts with supreme expressive liberty across the three panels: the upper sheet hosts heavy handwritten and embroidered poetic block terms in crimson red and black thread; the middle panel anchors a stark spatial tension with twin dimensional, heavy-coiled thread medallions in contrasting optic white and absolute black; the baseline panel locks the composition inside a chaotic grid network of intersecting linear fibers.
Seggiaro is part of the textile field in an unconventional way, from a non-technical but an expressive approach. In exchange, he obtains a freedom of action from the needle that allows him to tie, knot, leave half-sewn stitches, and generate volume through the thread. In this way, she makes use of non-traditional uses of embroidery that respond to a more plastic than textile thought.
