This exceptional collectible textile art piece intentionally deconstructs classical engravings by treating an archival large-scale print of Piranesi’s industrial architectures as a visual laboratory for an intimate narrative on eroticism and time. Seggiaro painstakingly performs a tactical, hand-executed embroidery intervention over the composition, filling the geisha's exposed back tattoo with rich multicolored fine lines, while juxtaposing the monochrome backdrop with clean color fields in sky blue, flat yellow notes, and a heavily encrusted white textile block. This calculated structural interweaving of historical book plates and soft, life-infused fibers yields an outstanding conversational weight, making it a premier centerpiece for high-profile collections.

The ambitious exercise of working with techniques such as large-format embroidery only exacerbates the perfection of detail through the change of scale. What was once the page of a book is transformed to bring the dimension of the minuscule closer to the observer. This arouses curiosity and evokes primordial feelings that oscillate between existential anguish, the passage of time, life, death, intimacy and eroticism.
