The exhibition Araki: Nobuyoshi Araki Photographs opened on December 13, 2001, at the Miami Design District. Curated by Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque from the a-d gallery, this special exhibition was specifically conceived for the worldwide launch of a limited-edition book by the celebrated Japanese photographer, published by TASCHEN. The exhibition coincided with the prestigious Art Miami and Art Palm Beach 2002 fairs, celebrating Araki's avant-garde, visceral, and provocative vision while significantly consolidating his impact on the international contemporary art circuit at the beginning of the decade.
