I WILL MAKE YOU A STAR & THE PAPER SERIES

The works presented by Cristian Hunter, from his previous collaboration with Hunter & Gatti, are inspired by the neo-expressionist paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat. His idea was to create a series of original hybrids that explore the boundaries of popular culture. We can recognize the identities of celebrities hidden behind the layers of paint, but at the same time we are puzzled by the new faces that have emerged, and this contradiction is the essence of "I Will Make You a Star." In The Woks of Papers series, traces of lived experience appear in On Hansen's works, exploring the possibilities of formal abstraction and seeking an organic experience between space and time through painting and photography.
