This stunning figurative triptych by contemporary artist Casey Waterman is conceived as a multi-part installation comprised of three framed, independent archival prints, handcrafted with gold leaf. This unique masterpiece serves as an investigation into the origins of current human social conditions. The visual arrangement flows dynamically through three minimalist environments that trace evolutionary information gleaned from Paul Shepard's book, 'The Only World We've Got'. Each panel features a distinctive, stylized primate silhouette, frozen mid-stride in a shimmering gold texture against a clean background, challenging the viewer to consider how our shared origins shape current human emotions.
Casey Waterman's work encompasses a wide range of materials and mediums but is primarily based on creating cut images from photographs, drawings, or other forms of visual media. For Waterman, calling himself an artist is based on the importance of being honest about his intentions and staying true to his actions. Waterman's work can be found in private collections along the East Coast. As a continuous process of personal exploration, he continues to research and create in his studio in Miami.
