Recordings V employs intimate encounter photography to document peak moment of joy—orgasmic ecstasy with male lover collected and revealed on light-sensitive paper. Rey transforms sexual experience into photographic artifact, where condom and bodily fluids become visual record of sporadic passionate encounter. The work materializes intimacy's ephemeral climax as permanent image, creating archive of desire where each photogram preserves specific moment shared with different men passing through artist's life.
Recordings is a collection series of experiences with different men who have passed through my life sporadically. During this process, I collect the peak moment of joy, the ecstasy of orgasm, on a light-sensitive sheet of paper, which is later revealed and recorded.
