Guided by his architectural background and critical perspective on visual culture, Rodrigo Spinel pays tribute to iconic regional creators in this Set of 6 Drawings from the Series Latin American Artists & Architects. Executed in Chinese ink on Fabriano paper, the suite presents six individual drawings styled as postage stamps, celebrating legendary figures such as Lygia Clark, Julio Le Parc, Roberto Burle Marx, and Luis Barragán. Spinel uses the postage stamp format as a narrative medium that preserves cultural identity and national history, standing in sharp contrast to the standardized, impersonal contracts of modern shipping air waybills. A major highlight of the Terms and Conditions series, this Latin American artists and architects drawings set offers collectors a compelling polyptych installation grounded in graphic heritage and modernist art history.

The project is based in the contrast of the two images, the air waybill and the postage stamp, from different times but similar in their function. The artist seeks to enlighten the change in the use of the image, to reflect on how some languages disappear due to the globalization and new ones emerge with unified visual parameters. Formerly the stamps told stories from a country, a place through their image, nowadays the air waybill is a contract with terms and conditions.
