Part of Neerja Chandna Peters’s critically acclaimed The Rhythm Series, this unique physical creation treats a premium Hahnemühle HP watercolor paper workspace as an analytical laboratory for spatial weight and asymmetric balance. The New Delhi-based physician and artist tracks an intense, meditative graphic rhythm where she coordinates three independent sheets into a continuous visual narrative. The vertical arrangement isolates large angular planes of deep red, bright orange, and muted sage green, dynamically slashed by an ultra-fine, calculated archival ink line that drifts across the composition fields.

Neerja Chandna Peters enjoys navigating harmony through the play of lines with their symmetrical synchrony and rhythmic interplay, manipulating the nuances, their saturation and their values, thus creating a subtle movement of optics with their variable refrangibility.
In her compositions, lines and light are not mere aesthetic choices, but act as conduits that lead the viewer into a space of stillness and contemplation. Over time, the artist has come to understand that clarity often lies in reduction. A single color or the movement of a line can evoke a deep resonance when approached with intention.
This practice is as much about process as it is about outcome. It is about finding balance, not just on the canvas, but within. The act of creating becomes a reflection of this alignment, a moment when the finite touches the infinite, and the work itself becomes an offering.
