This unique physical creation treats the premium acid-free hot pressed paper workspace as an analytical laboratory for symbolic investigation. The New Delhi-based physician and artist tracks an intense, meditative graphic rhythm where she channels her long-standing fascination with ancient scripts, using geometric shapes to develop a complex visual system of asemic writing. The symmetrical arrangement isolates a central cluster of intersecting crimson, ochre, and black circles, dynamically balanced against an expanding net of fine, hand-drawn ink lines that radiate toward the page margins like cosmic light rays. By texture-mapping raw calligraphic annotations across the color cells, Peters successfully transforms a clean studio exercise into an undeniable architectural gravity filled with interior weight and a subtle sense of personal quest.
The series Geometric Alphabet is part of my series Geometric Abstract, in which the abstract game is used in the form of asemic writing with geometric shapes. Here Peters recreates her fascination with ancient text in abstraction, to accompany the subtle symbolism of her compositions that evoke the quest.

New Delhi based Neerja Chandna Peters, is a physician who has been practicing abstraction for fifteen years. Her distinctive voice in geometric abstraction has been researched and cited in journals. She has had four solo exhibitions including one in the New England Regional Art Museum, Armidale in Australia, two in Portland Oregon, USA and in Bikaner House New Delhi. She has been awarded and selected in international biennales, exhibitions and projects with museums and her work is part of public and private collections including museums collections.
