This monumental figurative photography masterpiece stands as a central structural pillar within María José Arjona's boundary-pushing research. The human form is captured mid-transition, its head and torso completely integrated into a sculptural, enveloping mass of dense brown fur. Arjona masterfully uses the lens to generate a fleeting, biomorphic entity that reclaims a decentralized, horizontal relationship between human and non-human worlds.

"The frequencies that make me" is a project that aims to find points of contact between dance and performance to generate a space in between, where the body plays with time, explores the sound as a surface of possible becoming, and mixes with matter to germinate bodies in full transition in a figurative photography. It is not about building a new body, but rather generating fleeting and less definable bodies to reclaim a world of horizontal relationships between humans and non-humans.
