Neon Diva - Castelloland presents Hollywood diva digital fantasy where golden age female star receives neon surreal treatment—archival photograph intervened with contemporary digital editing creating atmosphere where vintage glamour meets modern chromatic intensity. Castello gives life to inherited diva image through experimental manipulation: neon elements suggesting contemporary urban aesthetic invading Old Hollywood elegance, creating oscillation between fiction (neon fantasy) and reality (archival star photograph). This 2015 archival pigment work embodies autofiction—artist's relationship with female Hollywood icons filtered through surreal romantic vision where divas transcend temporal boundaries entering Castelloland's parallel constructed universe. The photograph evokes emotions about how untouchable legends become malleable: golden age star no longer confined to historical context but inhabiting Paloma's imaginative realm through digital intervention, neon suggesting that Castelloland operates according to different aesthetic rules than original Hollywood mythology.
 
Paloma Castello presents to us a nostalgia-filled body of work. The collection represents the soul of her proposal: inherited objects discovered or found that have become the tip of the iceberg of her past. These are elements she collects, recollects and then classifies following a method that frames her anachronic attitude that proves as evidence of the youth of her art. She also demonstrates that the experimentations on herself are common in an artist who’s just beginning her career. Castelloland works with objects whose uniqueness proves to be fundamental to the piece’s narrative in each story because each piece reacts and happens through the word and object interaction.
