Moonrise III, II and I triptych presents nocturnal ocean photography across three panels where moon's luminous presence reflects upon black oceanic surface, creating monumental composition impossible to ignore. Winograd captures the sublime moment where boundaries between sky and sea dissolve into darkness punctuated only by celestial light. The triptych format intensifies reverential quality—sequential moonrise phases or varied perspectives creating comprehensive meditation on nocturnal maritime vastness. This work extends Winograd's documentary lens to nature's most contemplative encounter: solitary moon meeting infinite ocean in darkness, generating profound emotions of awe and existential reflection through minimalist yet powerful composition.
Miguel Winograd's work explores the relationship between people and their environment, narratives of social conflict, and the dense interconnections of the Colombian landscape. His Landscape photography, which occasionally includes portraits of trees, captures the essence of nature through a documentary lens.
