Fig. 8 BASE MORADO transforms meticulous mark-making into an intricate architectural composition where line, color, and optical depth continually interact. This Rodrigo Spinel purple abstract ink drawing is structured around a dense network of intersecting parallel lines that forms a seemingly three-dimensional framework, while pale violet, green, and neutral tones create recessed planes behind it. The repeated strokes produce an almost vibrating surface, allowing the geometric structure to appear simultaneously solid and ephemeral. Angular projections at the upper and lower edges reinforce the architectural character of the image, while variations in line density suggest changing light and shadow. The result is a refined meditation on structure, perception, and the passage of time.

The project is a series of ink abstract drawings on different surfaces, depicting the solstices and equinoxes of the year through the overlapping of shadows at various times of the day. These shadows suggest the outline of invisible structures, similar to frameworks of beams and columns, which appear static but are actually in motion in relation to the sun.

The technique used is based on the repetition of parallel lines at different angles and colors, a meticulous and meditative process that records the passage of time, stroke by stroke. Although the images are static, the work highlights the difficulty of perceiving movement and the passage of time without a fixed reference, inviting reflection on how the sun and its shadows reveal that everything is in constant transformation.
