Ramonn Vieitez is artist who primarily utilizes painting as a field of creative possibility exploring themes such as identity, memory, and nature, compulsively producing works of astonishing lyricism, melancholy, and, perhaps most importantly, sincerity. As a queer individual, he playfully engages with a stunning variety of references but shares the conviction that painting can yield intimate and revelatory forms of expression. Horst, one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century, presenting more than 80 significant works spanning seven decades, including vintage and never-before-seen prints of Horst’s revered fashion editorials, brand photography, and portraiture. This work explores the sculptural capacities of the hands. Stripping them of their symbolism or the functions for which they are normally used, Baixas explored them like someone examining a foreign body, searching for their limits and pushing them in different directions. To do this, the artists used opposed sculptural concepts like straight-curved, and simple-complex; searched for the interconnection between fingers, and the balance between distances, and tried to generate geometric shapes and textures. At times, he would find shapes that were like doors opening onto a myriad of new possibilities. That is a complexity of artist’s concept formation and culture practicing. In the Chinese folklore, people believe the universe is a circle and the ground are a square (flat). The “galaxy” is the result of the rice being manually grind in the mortar and pestle. With the pass of the time, the form of the rice changed from grain to refined powder. The powder and grain are carefully placed on the photographic paper in the darkroom then exposed to the light to make image. In this process of image making, time is highly involved, physically and conceptually. Through this survey, she creates objects by incorporating still, moving, audio and interactive images to generate situations where she can materialize and communicate her emotional state. She wants to challenge the audience’s own perception of what they consider real by generating a platform where they are induced to connect by exploring, interacting and at times by focusing on an object-place- scene for a duration of time in a manner that is both meditative and investigative. Monika Bravo is a multi-disciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, who lives and works in Miami. In 1982, Bravo left Bogotá, moving to Rome to study fashion design, which she continued in Paris at Esmod, before traveling to London to study photography. In 1994 she moved to New York. Her work has received acclaim including a 1999 New York Times review which called her piece Synchronicity (from a group exhibition at El Museo del Barrio) a "standout...small, beautifully blurry video images of boats plowing through New York Harbor..." Uwe Ommer became fascinated with photography at a young age. Initially sparked by his interest in photographing birds, he received his first camera at age 14 and began experimenting with his limited equipment. By the time Ommer was 18, he had given up on birds but was improving his skills as a photographer. He began working as an apprentice in a camera shop and soon picked up side projects for local papers, shooting everything from car accidents to weddings, when staff photographers were unavailable. She says that we go through our daily routines, often leaving our emotions in the background without fully addressing them. That in the back of our minds, those passing negative thoughts break down and become monsters lurking in the shadows of our minds. She wanted to depict a moment of psychological breakdown and negative emotions manifesting as a chimera-like creature in a collage. Ying Chen discovered her passion for creating photo collages. In this foggy but colorful dream, the sky is cloudy, yet everything is brightly lit. there is a thick fog blurring her vision she cannot discern whether it is imagined or familiar scenes. The artist wanted to capture in photos how small flower cuttings can inspire/trigger those dreamt memories of landscapes. By composing nature figures into a photo, she wanted to represent how flower cutting can channel those dreamscapes in a photo. Stitch-like lines were added to make a person question if what they are seeing is paper paper-cutting collage, hoping to replicate a dream-like feel through making viewers question the photos. While all of his paintings primarily focus on large-scale interior paintings, which make up the majority of his portfolio, it can be very helpful to change pace occasionally and work on smaller paintings. While larger canvases typically take one to three months to complete, working on smaller wood panels allows for a much shorter completion time. Working more spontaneously and intuitively can provide a respite from the longer, more analytical process required for larger works. Terry taught at universities in the U. S. and Germany and served for ten years as Associate Dean in the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University. I contrast classical iconography with Latin tropical elements —watermelons, macaws, palm trees— creating images that oscillate between the divine and the pop. This encounter generates a subtle tension: the eternal becomes familiar, and the domestic takes on a mythical aura. The first time the artist saw Milo's Aphrodite she was fascinated by its beauty and mystery, which marked my first encounter with classical antiquity. In this series, Paloma Castello has created five representations of Venus, to which she has added elements from my daily life, such as the tropical environment, the stars and music. This creates a fusion between reality and fantasy. Castello´s goal is to incorporate surreal and romantic elements to evoke different emotions and moods in the viewer. The series "All the faults of the world", 2021/23 are digital prints printed on Hahnemuhle smooth canvas. The Images are taken by Google Street View (GSV) users that cover a 360º viewing angle and are captured to show everything that is around the subject taking the photograph. These images, uploaded to the application (GSV) are geolocated at the precise point where they were taken so that other users can access them. Due to involuntary human errors in the capture, a small percentage of these images present anomalies because some fragment does not have a record, and a void is produced in the image and an opaque figure without representation. The entry of these anomalies into the system interferes with any attempt to full representation of the world. By powdering and mixing discarded shells sourced from Korea’s oceans, they create robust materials that are transformed into tiles with exquisite textures. While many artworks address themes of nature and sustainability, our goal was to take this a step further. To achieve this, we designed three unique tiles: H, U, and I, enabling diverse architectural designs. There is an ice cream shop that makes gelato next to The WKND Lab’s workspace. They make ice cream based on eggs, not milk. In the process, 300 eggs are consumed every week and many shells are thrown away. Since then, based on the fact that CaCO3 is what mostly constitutes an eggshell, we got interested in oyster shells, which have the same composition- and decided to plan this Oygg series using eggshells and oyster shells. Because it is handmade, all products have diferent colors and patterns. The eggshell has a pink/orange color and the shell has a subtle grayish blue color, so if you use these to create texture, each piece will have a diferent shape and color. Everyone inhabits José Ignacio's dream universe. That's how it is committed to the quest to establish a path that is capable of promoting, in painting, wood, stone and iron, the creation of a pantheon of men, women and deities that exist in the brazilian forests. For Jose Ignacio Suarez an abyss of time and space distances him from those who were the first inhabitants of the Brazilian coasts and of this vast American continent. His initial language is two-dimensional painting, acrylic on canvas, observing the forests that survive in the city. Lycuris trunks, foliage, bamboo forests. Organicity and geometry in a living palette that longs to break barriers and travel through spheres of other rhythms, to live other years. Between 1987 and 1993 he studied in the United States. Initially in New York and then on the West Coast, where he graduated with a B.A. Architecture from the University of Oregon. In Copenhagen (1990) he had contact with drawing and watercolor, starting to produce journals of sketches. He participated in his first exhibition in Oregon, in 1992. His first architectural project (1991) was the residence of the country, on the escarpment of Baía de Todos os Santos. In 1994, the artist settled on a coffee farm in Chapada Diamantina where he developed the practice of drawing and painting with greater regularity. A regular at Carybé's studio, he was influenced by sculptural practice involving the use of beaten iron. As an architect, José Ignacio was a project manager in the hotel sector, carrying out several transits throughout Latin America - which allowed him to improvement of his research and greater circulation of his work, integrating private collections spread across the places where he dwelt. In 2004 he did an artistic residency in Helsinki, Finland, redefining the use of your palette. Reinstalled in Salvador in 2018, the artist carries intellectual concerns that lead him between the affection for continental geography and the nostalgia for a destination. The images transforms gravity from an invisible force into a visible, tangible experience. Divided into two acts — one photographic, one sculptural — the show reveals how weight, balance, and resistance shape both form and feeling. In Act I, Rezende’s black-and-white photographs place the body in dialogue with stone. His lens captures moments of strain and surrender, where hands and torsos yield to the mass pressing upon them. Departing from his fashion background, Rezende celebrates vulnerability over perfection, turning the body into a living sculpture marked by gravity’s touch. In Act II, Pinto extends this dialogue into space, suspending heavy stones from fragile glass chains. The inversion of weight and fragility exposes the paradoxes of strength, trust, and material truth. Together, Pinto and Rezende dissolve boundaries between sculpture, performance, and photography. Their collaboration invites viewers to not only see but feel gravity — its pull, its tension, its quiet authority. Gravitas ultimately becomes a meditation on what binds us to the ground and what allows us to rise against it: a study of balance, endurance, and the human spirit.
