Aims to captivate the viewer and highlight the true Passion of these artists. RODRIGO ZAMPOL Umbra Series Fear and insecurity came uninvited to keep me company. Suddenly it became necessary to release the sensations that surrounded me day and night. At times the artist felt as if he were sitting in the darkness of a shadow. But he was not alone, the whole world was with him. Get it out there, his mind told him. And he did. As if he wanted to record time, he made art. Zampol gave freedom so that, upon encountering the surface, the materials would follow their paths. The organic forms that emerged, from a planned chance, were like abstract pieces of a part of him. Abstract sculpture Price $6,600.00 Shipping Policy Add to Cart ANA SEGGIARO Durero Series Ana Seggiaro's training as an engraver awakened her fascination for the works of Durero and Piranesi. This leads her both to recover the language of engraving itself through other media and to appropriate and dialogue with the works of these artists. This conversation, however, does not start from a solemn, pristine, or untouchable place, but from the recognition of her virtues, thus allowing her to operate, rebuild, eliminate, and retouch fragments to compose her own work. Starting from pre-existing works of hers, Seggiaro builds a kind of mimicry of the original pieces in an exercise of visual reconstruction that she uses as a structure for her production. The pattern plays the role of endlessly rewriting the intricate game of identity and relationship, the mix of cultures, and the rush of its visitors learning to walk and getting out of the gravitational well.

RB Gallery offers contemporary and modern 20th and 21st-century American, European, and Asian art, with a main focus on Pop Art and young artists who have evolved from this direction. They are all signed, numbered and dated on the front or back of the artwork. By the artist, or accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the gallery. Some of our artists sign their prints and produce a label with all the information if their signature isn't visible. If we are selling a piece that doesn't have an existing artist certificate, the artist's signature on the piece as well as the invoice provided by the gallery upon purchase of the work is sufficient to confirm the authenticity of the work. How the artworks appear on the website: Works may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the works on our website or social media platforms are for illustrative purposes only. Dimensions or sizes: The word image dimensions or size refers to the artwork. The word Sheet size refers to the size of the full image on the paper with the border. The word Border means the image is printed with a blank border. The word No border or Full bleed refers to when the image is printed to the edge of the paper without any edges. What is and Archival Print: Denotes a printmaking process incorporating refined particles of pigment that are resilient to the environmental factors that commonly degrade and erode dye molecules shortening the life of a print. We ensure that all the artists we represent print on the highest industry quality fine art printers using fully archival inkjet pigments on Hahnemuhle papers or any other archival paper available in the market. Some of our special edition prints are mounted on aluminum or Archival acid-free Mats and backings that help preserve the life of your print. Acid given off by poor quality mats is the chief culprit of paper breakdown and the fading of pigments. Archival mats and backing protect your employment by adding spaces in between the Plexiglass front and the print so they do not touch and cause damage. The acid-free backing keeps dirt and debris out of the frame. What is a limited edition and artist's proof: A limited-edition print shows that the photographer produced a fixed number of prints per size. Once all limited edition prints of a certain image are sold out, no more prints of that size are produced. They enhance the value and appreciation, they become desirable for collectors as supply is limited and they become few and hard to acquire. Limited edition prints have a processing time of 7-10 days for production plus shipping time. Shipping: How are shipping costs calculated: Shipping costs are calculated based on carrier rates, distance, and the complexity of the delivery, we have generated a standard price for the size and weight of the item prior to shipping. Packing: Packaging is determined by the size, type, fragility and specific characteristics of the item. We offer free packaging for standard packaging such as artwork that can be rolled inside a tube or laid flat in a small or medium-sized box. We will notify you in advance to obtain your authorization for the extra charge for this particular packaging. How do we ship your artwork? All artworks are carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and properly packaged for delivery. We take great care in packaging the works to ensure each delivery arrives with you safely. Some artworks (sculptural or particularly delicate artworks) may necessitate special packaging or to be crated, this may incur an additional cost that is not included in the quoted shipping price. We will notify you in advance to obtain your authorization for the extra charge for this particular packaging. How long does shipping usually take: Shipping usually takes between 7 to 10 business days, depending on where you are based. Once your artwork has been dispatched you will be notified via email that your purchase is on its way and provided with tracking details so you can keep an eye out on your piece. We draw our best effort to deliver any of our existing artworks from our archives as soon as we get the order. If the artist has to produce the artwork or to print a new limited edition, it will need an approximate time of production of 7 to 10 business days plus a couple of days to properly pack and have it ready to ship. If we are unable to ship your order within the aforementioned timeframe, we will contact you by email with an estimated shipping date, explaining the nature of the delay. Do we ship Worldwide: Yes, we ship worldwide. Duties, Taxes, and Fees: Please be aware that your order may be subject to import duties, tariffs, and taxes imposed by your local customs authority. The Ragisména work in aluminum is the result of an artistic and artisanal process that dates back to antiquity, when people used fire to shape metal. Casting consists of heating the metal until it becomes liquid and then pouring it into a mold of the work. After cooling, the mold is removed and the piece is polished. Shortly after, he was commissioned by the Colombian Ministry of Culture alongside the artist collective Si Nos Pagan Boys to participate in an urban art exposition titled, La Muerte Se Va de Vacaciones (Death is Going on Vacation) that was executed as a reaction to the traditionalism of Cartagena. In 2014, he exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Cartagena and in La Presentacion Casa Museo Arte y Cultura. He then exhibited in the Cultural Center Ciudad Movil in 2016 with a body of work created in collaboration with the Colombian photographer, Camo. In the same year, he was nominated for the International Luxembourg Art Prize for his recent work Self-Portrait. HORST 09 SEP 2018 – 24 DEC 2018 The Horst P. Horst Estate and The Art Design Project, in collaboration with The LEICA Gallery, are pleased to present for the first time in Turkey, the work of Horst. P. Horst, the so-called Master of Light. A curated selection of the most well-known vintage black and white prints, with later, limited edition color prints selected from the “Around That Time” portfolios, including images of exquisite interiors of residences and portraits of the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Cy Twombly, Paloma Picasso, Marella Agnelli, Emilio Pucci, Elsa Peretti and Diane von Furstenberg, among others. For the first time in the world, the Horst Estate will present at the Leica Gallery "original negatives images" from the Turkey travel story that Vogue commissioned as well as the color photographs from the Topkapı Palace taken by Horst while he was traveling in Turkey. Leica Gallery Istanbul will also present a selection of Vogue covers taken by Horst P. Horst while Vogue’s art director was the Turkish designer Dr. Mehemmed Fehmy Agha. (1896-1978) – the pioneer of modern American publishing. Mehemmed Fehmy Agha defined the role of art director in a magazine with his experimentation in page designs in Vogue, Vanity Fair, House & Garden. Besides these exceptional and unique prints, Leica Gallery Istanbul introduces the limited edition portfolios created by The Horst P. Horst Estate and Art+ Vision, LLC. with Yves Saint Laurent, Cy Twombly, Paloma Picasso and one titled “Around That Time”. All of them are a curated selection of archival pigment prints in an embossed portfolio box in a limited edition of 10. Horst P. Created over the nine years, the series traces the evolving relationship between a mother and her daughter, capturing not only the passage of time but the shifting emotional textures of care, imagination and transformation. One part of the series are color photographs of small plastic animal toys, placed in real outdoor environments. These staged scenes echo the imagined roles assigned to such toys by children, but also acquire new resonance through their dislocation – miniature creatures mimicking life in full-scale, often indifferent, landscapes. Shot in 2005, these portraits mimic the formal conventions of ID photography – direct gaze, frontal composition, neutral background – yet their purpose is far from bureaucratic. Each cat is presented as an individual, a personality in its own right. Stripped of decorative context, the animals emerge not as pets or symbols, but as singular beings with distinct presences. Lazić approaches them not with irony or sentimentality, but with the same seriousness we reserve for human portraiture. The result is a subtle play between species, perception and representation. There is both humor and tenderness in the gesture – an instance that identity is not exclusive to the human face, and that the act of looking can reveal personality across species lines. In these portraits, the cats are not symbols or metaphors. They are themselves. EXHIBITIONS EXHIBITION TROPICÁLIA DUBRAVKA LAZIĆ REPRESENTED ARTIST Dubravka Lazić, graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (1997), then received her master's degree at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade (2000) and her doctorate at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (2013). Educated as a painter, photographer and filmologist, she currently teaches at the Novi Sad Academy of Arts as a full professor, and also part-time at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. In the period from 2011 to 2016, she taught at the Faculty of Applied Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade and was also a guest lecturer at Universities abroad (West Attica University Athens, Communication University of China Beijing, Ludwigsburg University of Education, École supérieure de design Troyes). During her academic career, she was the head of the department for New Fine Media and Photography (2007-2012), vice dean for artistic work and international cooperation (2012-2024) at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, as well as the president of the Expert Council for Humanities and Art/Art of the University of Novi Sad (2015-2021). She has been a member of the artistic council of the Platinum Gallery of the SANU branch in Novi Sad since 2016. Dubravka Lazić's artistic and exhibition activity has been active since 1998. She exhibited her works of art at numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world. She is also active in the field of theoretical authorship and is the author of several published scientific works, articles, one book and a textbook. She is an organizer and a member of several commissions of the University of Novi Sad, as well as other professional organizing committees and juries, and a manager, consultant and participant in many art projects. Stripping them from their symbolism or the functions for which they are normally used, Nico Baixas explored them like someone examining a foreign body, searching for their limits and pushing them in different directions. To do this, he used opposed sculptural concepts like straight-curved, and simple-complex; searched for the interconnection between fingers, and the balance between distances, and tried to generate geometric shapes and textures. At times, the artist would find shapes that were like doors opening onto a myriad of new possibilities. Throughout the process, he discovered a world of fingers that transformed reality, taking it to another level. EXHIBITIONS ONLINE EXHIBITION CHIROMORPHOSE EXHIBITION THE STORM NICO BAIXAS / Gos-com-fuig REPRESENTED ARTIST Nico Baixas, also known as Gos-com-fuig, is a creative interdisciplinary artist from Spain, whose work focuses solely on the hands. Born into a family of puppeteers, Nico started performing at a very young age with his parent's company, La Claca, which collaborated with the famous painter Joan Miró. As a result, Nico spent most of his childhood in art museums. Inspired by the works of Calder, Giacometti, Mondrian, Lewitt, and others, decides to pursue an artistic career studying music and working in cinema, before finding his path as a performer in the European avant-garde theater scene. In 2014 I joined Cirque du Soleil for the creation of KURIOS which became one of the company's most acclaimed shows, performing in New York, Tokyo, Paris, London, and Rome, among other cities. Starting in the 40s, the work of the artist Edward Hopper took significant recognition that led to becoming a benchmark for cinematographers in everyone, especially because of their relationship in film noir and the influence exercised by the painter in the work of filmmakers such as Alfred Hitchcock, Jim Jarmusch, Martin Scorsese, and Wim Wender. Hopper was inspired by the cinema to create his paintings and the cinema became inspired by Hopper. The images that the series represents were taken from the film and behind the scenes of the film "Shirley Vision of Reality" by 2013 by the Austrian director Gustav Deutsch, in an exercise that I seek to literally recreate a series of paintings by Hopper and with they narrate the story of three decades beginning in North America from the 30s and going until the 60s. The scenes depicted in the film are interior images inhabited by solitary people, who relate to the outside through the entrances of light and sound, images that. The artist rescued archival photographs from the 19th century (1890-1920), distorted by chemical decomposition, and now available again thanks to preservation and his digital intervision through his exquisite gaze.. The past has been rediscovered, allowing fragments of it to resonate in the present. Sükan's recovery of these photographs results in a visual resurrection that perpetuates fleeting memories of the past, challenging the fragility of collective memory. The impermanence of life is represented through the tension between deterioration and restoration in these images. Sükan's work ensures that these forgotten photographs do not disappear into oblivion, but remain alive, preserving public memory and welcoming a shared journey through time. New narratives are forged when past and present merge, with the presence and absence of decay and rebirth coexisting in a delicate balance. Through his images, the artist ensures that historical moments do not fade into obscurity, but rather endure through a shared experience with the viewer. By addressing the notions of spatial memory, presentation, and representation, this exhibition enhances the confrontation between visibility and invisibility in social and phenomenological terms. By means of deconstruction, intervention, and reconstruction of the white cube, Sukan brings complicity between opposites and creates dualism between recognition and non-recognition, visibility and invisibility, abstraction and concrete concepts. The result is an entirely new space, an architecture of past and future, with a continuously shifting viewpoint. Sukan proposes a phenomenal situation, challenging the viewer on the realism of the photograph and the memory of a space, while also opening up the horizons of the viewer’s perception and interpretation of the exhibition's own immediate setting. He starts taking his pictures above sea level contextualizes the scenes and brings out a new kind of perception. At first glance, the viewer may not be suspicious of the situation but on close inspection, questions arise; if this is a nighttime shot, how come the ships in motion look so sharp as if they are from a frozen movie still? By reconstructing these environments from one portion to another, Sukan raises some of the most elemental questions about how we perceive the world we live in. The other side of duality comes out when we look at the full moon in the sky. The moon is in transit and clearly gives a hint that the world or in this case another planet turns on its own axis. In his ‘While you are surfing’ photographic series, Arslan Sukan scans the surfaces of smartphones and manipulates the resulting images in Photoshop to isolate and enhance the fingerprints, dust, and cracks marking the screens. Sukan separates the intimate swipes and taps of screen navigation from any digital content, enlarging the marks to form anonymous and abstract landscapes. Printed on highly reflective metallic paper using an inkjet printer, each piece mirrors the context of its place of display, transforming the physical world and the body of the viewer into virtual content for the image surface. But, unlike fingers on a screen, the reflections leave no physical trace on their object. With ‘While you are surfing’, Sukan questions whether our experiences with the digital world, which are mediated through a screen, are any less immediate or complete than our encounters with experiences in the physical world. ‘While you are surfing’ continues Sukan’s engagement with the role of artifice in presenting the real. Through a process that moves from the physical world to digital and back again, his work dissolves distinctions between matter and thought, gesture and image. Collecting and adopting the sketch pads and papers that customers use for testing markers, pens, and other drawing tools at art supply stores through the years, from different cities around the world, Sukan considers how these test sheets serve as a vehicle for both intimate and exhibitionist performance as well as original social documents. In the improvised layers of sketches, doodles, and drawings that fill the pages, Sukan sees the documents of a ritual that approximates the practices of graffiti art but makes no allowance for participation in a common culture. Unlike palimpsest or open-sourced editing platforms where history can be scraped clean and updated, the sketch pages collapse past and present straddling the line between private notation and public expression. His transformation of these sketch-filled pages suggests that while the artist offers another voice, it is one capable of giving form to that which litters the surface of the things. Horst, Essence of the Times” at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, opening Oct. 6, 2022. The exhibition highlights the illustrious career of Horst P. Horst, one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century, presenting more than 80 significant works spanning seven decades, including vintage and never-before-seen prints of Horst’s revered fashion editorials, brand photography, and portraiture. Curated by Rafael Gomes, creative director of SCAD FASH museums, in collaboration with the Horst Estate and esteemed art collector and enthusiast Gert Elfering and Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque, curator of The Art and Design Project Gallery, Miami, Essence of the Times is the most important survey of Horst’s work in the U.S. to date. This work explores the sculptural capacities of the hands. Stripping them of their symbolism or the functions for which they are normally used, Baixas explored them like someone examining a foreign body, searching for their limits and pushing them in different directions. To do this, the artists used opposed sculptural concepts like straight-curved, and simple-complex; searched for the interconnection between fingers, and the balance between distances, and tried to generate geometric shapes and textures. At times, he would find shapes that were like doors opening onto a myriad of new possibilities. That is a complexity of artist’s concept formation and culture practicing. In the Chinese folklore, people believe the universe is a circle and the ground are a square (flat). The “galaxy” is the result of the rice being manually grind in the mortar and pestle. With the pass of the time, the form of the rice changed from grain to refined powder. The powder and grain are carefully placed on the photographic paper in the darkroom then exposed to the light to make image. In this process of image making, time is highly involved, physically and conceptually. Through this survey, she creates objects by incorporating still, moving, audio and interactive images to generate situations where she can materialize and communicate her emotional state. She wants to challenge the audience’s own perception of what they consider real by generating a platform where they are induced to connect by exploring, interacting and at times by focusing on an object-place- scene for a duration of time in a manner that is both meditative and investigative. Monika Bravo is a multi-disciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, who lives and works in Miami. In 1982, Bravo left Bogotá, moving to Rome to study fashion design, which she continued in Paris at Esmod, before traveling to London to study photography. In 1994 she moved to New York. Her work has received acclaim including a 1999 New York Times review which called her piece Synchronicity (from a group exhibition at El Museo del Barrio) a "standout...small, beautifully blurry video images of boats plowing through New York Harbor..."
